Making an Impact

Whether it involves reaching new amputees with crucial recovery information, advocating for fair insurance laws, or offering daily tips to enhance the lives of those living with limb loss, the efforts of the Handicapable Coalition are positively influencing lives on a daily basis.

Limb Loss Awareness Month

Our goal is to lead a comprehensive public health initiative on a national scale to promote awareness about the challenges of living with limb loss and the importance of preventing it, especially in April as it has been designated National Limb Loss Awareness Month. The effort includes executing public relations campaigns, dispersing educational materials, our online resources, and community engagement.

Social Media Outreach

By harnessing the power of technology and social media platforms, we are able to extend our reach further and connect with more amputees and individuals living with limb differences, as well as their families. Through strategic deployment of various digital tools and online networks, we aim to provide valuable resources, support, and information to this community in a timely and accessible manner. Leveraging technology allows us to bridge the gap and offer a sense of belonging and understanding to those facing the challenges of limb loss. We recognize the importance of utilizing these modern communication channels to build a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals can find camaraderie, knowledge, and encouragement on their unique journeys.
